Rookfield Garden Village is a prime example of design that recognises the value of aesthetics in creating a good way to live. Its unchanged character (and infrequency of homes for sale) is a testament to the values and ethics of those who built it. These few roads hold the largest collection of Arts & Crafts houses in England and enjoy protection as a Conservation Area.
This website is managed by residents. It's a celebration of the area and we hope it helps to protect this unique collection of Arts & Crafts houses. We are not design experts and we appreciate input from architects and historians.
Hornsey Historical Society
The Society researches, preserves and promotes the history of the parish of Hornsey, including the area covered by the parliamentary constituency of Hornsey and Wood Green.
William Morris Gallery
The house lived in by William Morris from 1840 to 1856 is now a museum. It's just a 20 minute drive from Rookfield.
